With a prime location in Silver Lake, Pazzo delivers the creamy, tasty gelato goodness, despite the fact that it’s just an unnecessarily fancy version of ice cream. Their signature flavor is chocolate; when you take the first heaping spoonful, you will think to yourself, “Wow. This tastes identical to a carton of Breyers I might buy from Ralph’s.” Other flavors range from the “so-strange-it’s-unappetizing” (like cayenne pepper infused avocado, which, why on God’s earth would you corrupt yummy ice cream like that?) to the “so-normal-it’s-exactly-like-regular-ice-cream” (doesn’t Ben & Jerry’s have a coffee banana flavor? They probably have a fun pun name, too). You can take comfort in what you’re eating because Pazzo uses only the finest and freshest straight-from-the-farm ingredients, which, let’s not kid ourselves, you’re still shoveling sugar-infused dairy into your craw. So when you want the tastiness of ice cream with the elitism of fancy versions of things, you could do worse than Pazzo. Or maybe you couldn’t, because all gelato is just fancy ice cream.
Price – $6 per scoop, which has gotta be worth three regular scoops from Baskin-Robbins
