Hispanics Building California Border Wall to Keep Out Trump Campaign

The backlash to the influx of Trump supporters into California

“We’re going to build a wall. That’s the first thing we’re going to do.” The words of Javier Nunez echo across the rally grounds. Nuñez, head of the Local 300 Laborers’ International Union of North America addresses a packed crowd of hispanic immigrants working legally in the state. The reason for this massive rally: The unwanted entry of Donald Trump and an influx of campaign supporters into the state.

The oppressive California sun beats down on the gathered crowd assembled on the rally grounds. The man of the hour stands above them all on a raised platform, trucker hat covering his windswept hair. Speaker Javier Nuñez closes his speech with, “We’re going to build a wall, and they’re going to pay for it.” as the crowd erupts into applause.

“We’re tired of the problems that come along being associated with Donald Trump.” Nuñez reiterated. “You have people coming in, and I’m not just saying Trump’s campaign, I’m talking about people that are from all over the republican party that are ‘friends’ of Trump that are money launders, arrested on drug charges, committing securities fraud, and rapists, and they’re coming into this state. So we’re going to build a wall to keep them out and make our state great again.”

When questioned about the logistics of his plan, Nuñez stated. “Don’t get me wrong, I love republicans, but you have them coming through the state line that are from all over. And they’re bad. They’re really bad. So we’re going to build a wall that spans the more than 900 miles of California’s border with other US States. And we’ll build it. We’d build it very nicely. We’re very good at building things.”

Critics of the proposed wall called into question the cost of such an endeavor, to which Nuñez added, “Trump is paying for the wall, It’s easy. We are losing $45 billion a year in terms of his shitty real estate ventures, stupid TV shows and product lines. Not to mention the 5 bankruptcies he’s filed for. Trump is paying for the wall, and we already have friends and family volunteering their time and hard work to start building it now just because we can’t stand him.”

Nuñez calmed worries about not letting republicans back in by announcing, “It will even have a very big, very beautiful door for people we want to let back in, after they show they voted for literally, ANY other candidate besides Donal Trump.”

There has been no press release from the Trump campaign responding to the movement. However, the movement continues and Nuñez has set a press conference for this Monday to clarify plans for the wall and to elaborate on his deportation of republican “anchor baby” initiative.
