Sherman Oaks resident Dylan Casey defied the odds and actually enjoyed himself while watching an episode of the 20 season juggernaut “The Bachelor” with his girlfriend this past Monday night.

“It actually is quality entertainment,” Dylan explained to his girlfriend, who’s been a fan of the show for ten years. “Normally I don’t like chick flicks cause it’s all so formulaic and dumb but this is different. I haven’t been this invested in a show since ‘Entourage.’”

While Dylan admits he first tuned in to “score points” with his girlfriend Brittany, the show’s combination of human drama, genuine stakes, and real emotion impressed the twenty-eight-year-old software engineer, who doesn’t consider himself a part of the show’s core demographic.

“Ben is such a great guy,” said Dylan, who skips his Monday night flag football league to keep up with the show, “I would—I mean, a lot of guys would completely take advantage of that situation. Although I don’t know why he spent so much time with Jubilee,” he went on, “All that baggage was a huge turn off.”

When notified of this new development, Mike Fleiss, Executive Producer of the show was thrilled. “Sure, The Bachelor has been a cultural institution for the better part of a decade,” Fleiss commented, “But now that a man is watching, it finally feels like we’re relevant.”

Dylan couldn’t help but praise his favorite characters of the season. “Jojo’s brothers, no question,” he stated with authority and unwavering confidence, “I like how they stood up for their baby sister. The way they tried to keep that adult woman from making her own decisions really resonated with me.”

Dylan was compelled to share who he thought the winner would be, “It’s gotta be Lauren.” he said, “She’s obviously the hottest.”
